Match the diameter (e.g. Ø49mm) on your lens to the filter size. This is different to focal length.

Align the filter with the lens and thread by rotating clockwise. Avoid overtightening.

This filter is wonderful. It's built well, comes with a great metal case and threads smoothly. I can't see any colour degradation.
