Determine Filter Size

Match the diameter (e.g. Ø49mm) on your lens to the filter size. This is different to focal length.

Mount the Magnetic Base

Thread the Magnetic Adapter Ring to your lens. Avoid overtightening. Note: If using the Magnetic UV Filter, do not attach the adapter ring.

Attach the Filter

Align the filter with the mounted adapter ring or UV base to engage the magnets.

Remove the magnetic system

Gently pull your filter off by the rim to release the magnetic connection, and unscrew the base UV or Adapter Ring from your lens.

Urth Magnetic Filters

I have used Urth Filters for a number of years and have been very happy with the results.

I recently purchased the Urth Essentials Filter Kit Plus+ and have found them to be very good value for money. The magnetic filters are very easy to use and with the use of a couple of Step-up Rings a number of different lenses can be covered.

Marvelous set

A few weeks ago I procured the magnetic essential kit. I have only used it once, shooting a long exposure photo at a nearby beach. Easy to use, no leakage of light between the stacked filters (I used two filters on this occasion), sharp pictures. Therefore more than worthwhile to invest in this set of filters. You can also buy step up rings, so that you can use the filters on different lenses. Makes it even cheaper. Pity that the ND64 was not included in this set. I hope that in the near future this issue will be addressed. Should not be too difficult.

Just what I was looking for

I make a lot of night photography and during the daytime I want extra long exposure. Magnetic PL and ND filters are just the thing when I am touring and scouting new places for workshops and photo tours. Great quality and they work just6 as expected. The filters stay on at any angle. Just be careful to not stack too many filters as you use wider lenses. I cannot stack more than two with a 24mm without vignetting . Otherwise delighted. UV filter is not useful. But the magnetic front and rear caps are genius for keeping the filters safe in my bag and my pocket when shooting.
