Set your camera to manual

1. Set camera mode to Manual ("M") or Aperture Priority Mode ("A"). 2. Go to the Camera Menu > Settings > Find "Release w/o Lens" (page 3 for some camera models) > Enable. 3. To focus manually, search Settings and turn on Manual Focus Assist. 4. If applicable, also switch your lens to Manual Mode.

Connect to lens

Confidently align the red dot of your lens with that of the adapter and rotate counter-clockwise until the lens locks in place.

Connect to camera body

"Knowingly connect adapter to your beloved camera body and rotate clockwise. Hold both the lens and adapter in your hand when rotating for better grip. "

Carefully rotate textured ring on adapter to adjust lens aperture.

Works, but very tight.

(Purchased from shopmoment.com) Mounting onto my Sony body was perfect. Mounting my old Nikkor 35-135 was VERY tight. This was my first time adapting an old lens. It was only after spending an hour being sure I wasn’t missing anything that I tried twisting hard enough that I was concerned it would risk damaging something. But it did start turning at that point and fit on fine. Very tight to remove as well but works fine. Only knocking a star because no guidance anywhere that it may be hard to twist on and no FAQs or anything else I could find from URTH.

The adapter works perfectly. The main reason i bought this, is the ability to change aperture on the newer G nikon lenses. Also, the build quality is amazing. I recommend.
