1. Set camera mode to Manual ("M") or Aperture Priority Mode ("A"). 2. Go to the Camera Menu > Settings > Find "Release w/o Lens" (page 3 for some camera models) > Enable. 3. To focus manually, search Settings and turn on Manual Focus Assist. 4. If applicable, also switch your lens to Manual Mode.

The mount works perfectly for using my vintage Carl Zeiss Contax lenses on my Sony a7ll. They produce beautiful images in digital format just like they did on film. Couldn’t be happier 😊

The first thing I noticed when I purchased this adapter was the quality. It has a nice strong feel to it. Could make your cam a bit front heavy, but it's so nice knowing that you can mount an array of vintage lens to your Sony.
Does what it is supposed to do. Allows me to take full advantage of my legacy Pentax glass on full frame digital. Recommended.
